For Editors:
Major New Features:
Decouple URL Slug from Headline: A platform-wide SEO improvement that protects your search rankings:
- Preserved SEO Authority: URL slug no longer auto-changes when headline is modified
- Simplified Creation: "Generate automatically from SEO title" checkbox hidden on article creation
- Manual Control: Checkbox available on article updates for manual slug regeneration when needed
- Full Coverage: Applied to both Articles and Liveblog screens
Feature Reverted: Decouple URL Slug from Headline
Based on valuable feedback from our user community, we have reverted the URL slug decoupling feature that was introduced in the previous release.
What This Means:
- URL slugs will once again auto-update when headlines are modified (restored to previous behavior)
- The "Generate automatically from SEO title" checkbox visibility has returned to its original state
- This change affects both the Articles and Liveblog screens
OneSignal Integration with Canonical URLs: Enhanced push notification workflow:
- Auto-Population: 'Notification URL' field now pre-fills with Canonical URL data
- Flexible Input: If no Canonical URL is set, field remains empty for manual entry
- Streamlined Workflow: Simplifies the push notification process for editors
Improvements:
Menu Cleanup:
- Removed Legacy Page: "Integrations - Widgets" removed from left menu
- Cleaner Interface: Reduced clutter and removed unused v1 widget configuration
- Better Focus: Menu now reflects only active, relevant functionality
Bug Fixes:
Widget Data Persistence (High Priority):
- Issue Resolved: Single Event widget no longer loads data from previously edited articles
- Fresh State Guaranteed: New articles now always start with clean widget data
- No Manual Clearing: Editors no longer need to manually clear old widget information
HTML Description Editing:
- Input Restored: HTML description box now responds to clicks properly
- Full Functionality: Editors can click into and edit description fields
- Coverage: Fix applies to both Categories and Tags editing screens
Liveblog Toggle Button:
- Correct Positioning: Hover behavior now works as expected
- Proper Navigation: Clicking toggle no longer redirects to CMS homepage
- Expected Behavior: Toggle properly expands/collapses widget section
Entity Links in Match Center Widget:
- Fixed Navigation: Links no longer open another CMS instance inside widget container
- Clean Display: Widget now displays as visual overview without broken navigation
- Removed Broken Links: Non-functional "template" links eliminated
