Football Standings Widget

The Football Standings Widget shows where teams stand in a specific tournament, during a specific season, and tournament stage.

Adding Football Standings Widget to a post

To set up the widget:

  1. Select the Football icon in the quick-add row below the blocks in the article body, then choose Standings from the Football widgets V2 list.

2. Select a tournament and season in the Tournament and Season fields. The form can open with a tournament and season already selected; change them if needed.

The Football Standings block form with Tournament Major League Soccer, Season 2026 and Stage Regular Season selected. The Default group type dropdown, below Highlighted teams, is open and lists Conference (CONFERENCE); its placeholder reads Widget default (Overall).

Note: Every tournament has different stages–a group stage, an elimination stage, and others. That’s why, depending on the tournament, you can select a Stage. The Stage groups field appears only when the selected stage has groups.

3. Select the teams you wish to highlight, if any, in Highlighted teams. The field is optional and starts empty. Use Limit to set how many rows to show and Start from position to choose the first table position shown (1 = first place). For example, Limit 6 and Start from position 5 shows positions 5 to 10, as in the preview below.

4. In Default group type, choose the group type the table opens on, for example Conference (the open dropdown is shown in the screenshot under step 2). Leave the field empty to use the widget default (Overall).

Note: The choices in Default group type come from the selected stage, and each one is shown as a name followed by its code, such as Conference (CONFERENCE). The field is disabled until you select a stage, and some stages offer only one group type. It does not depend on Display widget header.

If you change the stage later, your choice is kept and checked against the new stage. When the new stage does not offer it, a message says so: choose another group type or clear the field before you save.

5. Check the Display widget header box if you want to display the widget header:

6. To change the refresh time of the data inside the widget, use the Refresh time field.

7. When done, select Save block. If a required field is empty, a red message such as No tournament selected. appears in the form and the block is not saved.
