IMAGO is one of Europe’s largest independent photo agencies, specializing in sports content. The IMAGO integration for Sportal365 gives content creators direct access to the world's largest digital sports archive from within the CMS. This article explains how the integration works and how to get started.

The IMAGO integration connects with your content inside the CMS, giving content creators direct access to the world's largest digital sports archive to enrich their articles, videos, and galleries. The integration offers three key advantages:

For pricing information tailored to your needs, contact IMAGO directly. Pricing depends on a range of factors, including:

Resolution: The resolution in which the images will be provided to you by IMAGO.
Distribution: Such as web only and Unlimited.

How to Set Up the IMAGO Integration

  1. Initiate Contact with IMAGO: Start by contacting IMAGO to sign a contract. This agreement is required before the integration can be enabled.
  2. Confirm the package for your project: Discuss your project's needs, such as image resolution, editorial usage, and distribution.
  3. Engage Sportal365 Support: Reach out to Sportal365 support through our official email address at support@sportal365.com, and provide us with the username and API key required to enable the integration. Please also confirm the resolution and size for the images that will be used in the CMS:
    • Resolution: Specify one of the following values: 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, or 9. This value determines the image quality when downloading from IMAGO and re-uploading to the Content/Image API.
    • Size: Use one of the following values: thumbs, smalls, or mediums. This setting controls how images are displayed in content blocks within the CMS.
    • Recommended defaults: Most clients use mediums size with resolution value 9. These are a good starting point if you are unsure which values to choose.
  4. Feature Activation for Testing: Following contractual confirmation, our team will activate the IMAGO feature exclusively for your sandbox project. This phase allows for rigorous testing, ensuring that the integration meets your project's exacting standards.
  5. Front-End Aesthetics Development: At the same time, build and customize the front-end appearance of the IMAGO integration to match your project's design requirements.
  6. Final Activation and Deployment: Upon successful testing and front-end refinement, our team will finalize the activation of the IMAGO integration for your project, completing its incorporation into your content creation process.

From Sportal365 perspective, this feature can be enabled within an hour after the contract with IMAGO is signed, however, you need to also build, and develop the front end for this feature.

The type of development typically takes around 2 weeks, depending on your frontend team's availability.
