Ice Hockey Group Programme Standings Widget
Add Ice Hockey group fixtures and tables together in one post.
The Group Programme Standings widget combines two views: for each group in a stage it shows the table and the fixtures for that same group together.
The fastest way to add a Ice Hockey widget: hover any block and click the Ice Hockey icon directly — no need to open the full block picker and search a category list.
Preconditions
- Your project must have the Ice Hockey feature enabled. Widget categories are switched on per project, so if Ice Hockey widgets does not appear in the block picker, ask your administrator to enable it.
- You need permission to create or edit articles.
- The stage you choose must have groups. A knockout stage has none.
Adding the Ice Hockey Group Programme Standings Widget to a post
To set up the widget:
- Open an article for editing, or create a new one.
- Hover over a block in the article body. A row of icons appears, one for each sport enabled on your project — the Ice Hockey icon is highlighted here.

- Select the Ice Hockey icon, then choose Group Programme Standings from the widget list that opens.

- Set the widget options. Competition, Season, Stage, Stage groups and others control what it shows.

- Check the options are the ones you want. Some fields depend on others, so a list can be empty until you set the field above it.

- When done, select Save Block.

- Hover the widget block and select the preview control to see the real widget.

What the Ice Hockey Group Programme Standings Widget shows
Ice Hockey tables track regulation and overtime results separately, the standard NHL/IIHF scoring convention. Some columns are hidden on narrow screens — only Played, Goal Difference and Points always show:
- PLAYED — matches played: how many matches the team has completed
- W — wins: matches won in regulation time
- OTW — overtime wins: matches won after regulation time, including a shootout
- L — losses: matches lost in regulation time
- OTL — overtime losses: matches lost after regulation time, including a shootout — still worth a point
- GD — goal difference: goals scored minus goals conceded
- PTS — points: competition points — a regulation or overtime win is worth more than an overtime loss

The widget shows each group in turn, with its table and its fixtures side by side.
Good to know
Only the preview shows the real widget. The collapsed block and the options panel show a CMS summary card instead — always check preview before publishing.
- The preview area is narrower than a published page, so the widget uses its compact layout there and may hide columns that the published version shows.
- The widget always renders whichever version of the sports widgets library your project is on. There is no version to set.
