Sport Connections, often referred to as sport tags, are a powerful tool for enriching your content. They allow you to go beyond simple keyword tagging and directly link your articles, images, and lists to specific entities like players, teams, matches, and venues sourced directly from our integrated sports APIs.
Think of it this way: instead of just tagging an article with "football," you can use Sport Connections to link it to a specific match between "Real Madrid" and "FC Barcelona," a particular player like "Lionel Messi," or even the "Santiago Bernabéu Stadium." This connection to real-time sports data unlocks exciting possibilities for your website.
How to Use Sport Connections:
Within our CMS, under the Tags tab, you'll first need to select the "Sport" category. Once you've done this, a new section for Sport Connections will appear, named after the sport you've chosen (e.g., "Football Connections," "Basketball Connections," etc.).
For example, if you select "Football" as the sport, you'll then be able to search and add specific football connections.
Smart Tagging Suggestions:
To make this process even easier, our system will also automatically suggest relevant entities for your Sport Connections based on the text content of your article paragraphs. This intelligent suggestion feature helps you quickly and accurately link your content to the most relevant sports data.

- Ice Hockey
- Custom entities
As we integrate support for more sports in the future, these new connection options will automatically become available within the Sport drop-down menu.
